The MMCX Power-over-Coax (PoC) connector developed by Molex is an innovative solution tailored for applications requiring a compact radio frequency (RF) connection within the DC – 6 GHz range, while also providing the capability to deliver remote power. These connectors offer a robust, reliable solution for applications in the Automotive, Wireless Infrastructure, Industrial Automation and Smart Agriculture markets.

The full-locking mating mechanism with zero gap and a non-snap ring design provides a more secure, stable and reliable connection compared to snap-on mating mechanisms of standard MMCX connectors. It addresses common issues seen with other designs, such as potential disconnection, movement or wear on snap-ring components.

These connectors meet IEC 61169-52 and are backwards compatible and intermate with standard MMCX receptacles. This ensures that no changes to PCB receptacles or footprints are required, making them an efficient and reliable solution for maintaining signal and power integrity in dynamic environments.
